The Chicken Massacre at Crooked Creek

  1. Wow, what a great piece. I can’t imagine this kind of loss; I’m upset if an egg cracks on the way to the house or squirrels get in the buried garlic. This kind of loss is unthinkable. But what a great reminder about why it’s important to keep trying: Teaching kids that food doesn’t grow in cellophane. Really nice piece, Tom.

  2. Oh, what a terrible loss! I am sorry about the coons… They are really bad. You could try hot wiring your fence… Or putting up a more solid wall. Used pallets can make a great low fence in a pinch.
I hope things pick up for you and get better! And it’s good to know you’ll still be raising chickens!
